Western Diamondback Rattlesnake
The second largest venomous snake in North America (behind its Eastern cousin), the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake is named for the diamond-shaped patterning, as well as its noise-making tail that it vibrates as a warning to anything that gets too close. It is found in the southwest United States and Mexico.
