The store was started by John and Sally Sieber on March 1st, 1975. John had graduated from NWTC business program and Sally was a teacher. They decided to offer teachers in Wisconsin an opportunity to see products for their classroom before they bought them. In 1975, if you could even find products for your classroom, you had to buy them through a catalog. The philosophy of seeing before you buy is still central to the business model of School House which has grown to be the biggest educational store in Wisconsin.
The store is now owned by John and Sally's son Tom. We specialize in selling teaching materials and educational items for children of all ages.
